![]() This is the entrance door to Traine with the Coat of Arms over the entrace way. The door is massive and was a coaching door - it is wide enough for a coach to pass throughit...six and a half feet wide. Behind the door in the gate is a cobblestoned path of over 100 yards to the courtyard. |
![]() The sole surviving Sweet Coat of Arms in the church at Modbury due to the fact Cromwell's Troops distroyed all in the church prior to a very large battle in Modbury, during the English Civil War (1642). This Coat of Arms was entered after the war about 1725. |
